Style 101: How To Create A Fabulous Arm Party

One of my ultimate favorite trends is layering. Whether it’s layering clothes or hair-I love it. Unfortunately, in this Texas heat, layering is not such a good idea. So, one of my alternatives to layering clothes during warmer months, is layering jewelry. You can layer your jewelry so many ways, but my favorite is layering wrist jewelry-AKA Arm Party. Here are four steps to creating the most fabulous arm party! Let's get started!

Step 1: Find a great, classic watch that is versatile and one that you can wear daily. I love gold jewelry and gold is totally in right now. One of my favorite watches is the Michele Deco Two-Tone Watch. But there are several brands that have an endless number of styles of watches. Here are a few watches I’ve had my eye on!

Step 2: Bling, bling, and more bling! Even if you’re not a super glitzy girl, there’s nothing like adding a little sparkle to your wrist. If the watch you’ve chosen has crystals in it, you want to go for a bracelet with very little sparkle but if your watch is plain, bring on the bling! Here are some of my favorite sparkly bracelets.

Step 3: Add some color to your arm party. One of my favorite ways to incorporate color in jewelry is with precious stones (preferably turquoise or tortoise because they go with everything) or a classic bangle with colored enamel detail. I love accessories with tortoise accents because they look so rich and sophisticated. You want to be careful with colored jewelry, because it is very easy for the piece to look cheap or even a little tacky. You can’t go wrong with any of these options.

Step 4: Texture is key! So, now that you’ve got sparkles and pretty colored stones, you want texture to give your arm party some depth. Lately I have been obsessed with leather bracelets or braided/beaded friendship bracelets. You just want a little something extra to add some edge and funkiness. These bracelets would be the perfect addition to any arm party.

And there you have it! The basics to creating an arm party!

Hope you were inspired to try something new! xo
