My absolute favorite season is the summer! Aside
from it being my birthday season, the summer means lake parties, outdoor
shopping, and music festivals. I put together a list of summer must haves
that will even get you through the hottest days in Texas. Here are some of the
basics you need to start your summer vacation.
I know all of us love that fresh from the
Bahamas glow but if you’re like me and you either peel or your tan never seems
to look like you want it to; try this self tanner. Since my skin tone is pretty
tan, I went with the Deep Dark Color and I am obsessed with this product! It
takes your natural skin tone and kicks it up a notch leaving your skin evenly
glowing and bronzed.
Obviously sunglasses are a necessity in the
summer and these Tory Burch sunglasses are ultra chic, sophisticated yet still
youthful. Cat eye shades are super sassy and fun! Love these particular cat
eyes because of the tortoise color. It goes with absolutely everything.
Bold swimsuits are mandatory for the summer.
With all the pool parties you’ll be attending, you want your swimsuit to stand
out. I am currently obsessed with fitted, bustier tops right now and this
swimsuit is vibrant, fun, and unique. I especially love the criss-cross
detailed back and the cinched bottoms.
Just because a beach bag is necessary to put all
of your things in doesn’t mean it has to be the typical boring straw bag. I’m a
fan of bright colors, bold prints, and practical styles. This Mara Hoffman tote
is big enough to hold everything you need, it’s stylish, and the tote style is
light and comfortable on the shoulders. Functional and fashion forward-my kind
of handbag!
Target is my go-to store for beach towels
(unless of course, I spend too much money at Victoria’s Secret and get a free
towel). Target beach towels have the coolest patterns with bright and fun
colors. I love this feather printed towel. It’s fun, unique, and easy on the
wallet.
Flip Flops are easy, comfortable, and summery.
Love these flip flops by Dolce Vita. The gold accent around the front of the
sandal definitely dresses up the simple flip flop silhouette and the espadrille
sole is perfect for the summer.
