Floral And Lace

I can't believe today is the last Sunday of 2014! I spent my morning celebrating the approach of the new year at church with my mom-dad caught the holiday cold :( After church, my mom and I braved the chilly weather and hung out at Frisco Square. Here's what I wore today! P.S. Most of the pieces from my look are on MAJOR sale right now! Hurry while they're still available! Happy shopping!

The Day After Christmas...

I usually spend the day after Christmas hanging out with my family at home and eating lots of leftovers, but this year, my mom and I decided to check out some holiday deals at the mall. And let me tell you-they were well worth the crazy Texas drivers and 10-minute parking wait. We had the best time shopping and hanging out with my mom (or as she likes to call herself "the best friend"). Here's what I wore on our adventure! Click the links below for outfit details.

Home For The Holidays

Christmas is my absolute favorite day of the year and as soon as Thanksgiving is over, I immediately start decorating the house. Every year, my mom and I put up the Christmas tree, I decorate it, and she puts decorations all over the house. And I say this every year, but seriously, these are my favorite decorations ever! For our foyer, we agreed on a blue and silver color scheme (most years, mom's vote trumps mine and it's gold and red). Since mom let me go crazy in the front of the house, I decided to let her decorate the rest of the house in her favorite gold and red. I was so excited about our job well done, I went kinda crazy with the camera and decided to share our holiday decorations with you guys!
As you can tell, the tree is my favorite holiday decoration, and the cutest little corgi decided to hang out with me while I took photos. Our ornaments are a mixture of gifts and collecting over the years. We love going to Macy's, Dillards, and Target after the holidays when Christmas decorations are offered at super low prices! Everybody loves a bargain right?! And I took one of my friend's advice and bought all of my gift bags from Hobby Lobby! And right now, they're offering 50% off all of their Christmas items. Now is the perfect time to stock up on wrapping paper and gift bags!

Shopping 101: Ankle Booties

If you're like one of my best friends who requested this post and you have the hardest time shopping for inexpensive booties, you're in luck! I spent my morning searching for the cutest booties under $100. Now, if you're like me and have special feet that makes splurging on shoes necessary, don't worry-I found great deals on once expensive shoes as well. Also, right now, Macy's is having Friends and Family 25%. All you have to do is enter your email address once you're on the site. Bloomingdale's is also offering $25 off of almost every $100 you spend with the code: PRIVATE. Happy Shopping!

Cyber Monday Favorites

This year, I was way too stuffed from Turkey to even attempt Black Friday shopping, so I decided to give Cyber Monday a shot. To my surprise, I found several amazing deals from some of my favorite retailers. Bloomingdale's is currently offering 25% off most items, The Limited-50% off sitewide, Nasty Gal-up to 50% off, BCBGMaxAzria-50% off winter must-haves, and Nordstrom and Zara offered items at various discounts. Each site presented a variety of items on sale. I saw everything from evening wear to casual sweaters and a huge selection of accessories. Here are a few of my favorites!
Tank dresses are a huge trend at the moment and I have to say I am loving this piece from BCBG. It's simple, sexy, and can be worn so many different ways. You can dress it down with a cardigan, or amp it up with a structured blazer and pointed toe pumps! You all know how I love clothing pieces that can be worn a variety of ways.
Now that it's officially December, I can now start planning for New Year's without everyone thinking I'm crazy (I plan everything at least 6 months in advance-especially when it comes to shopping for events). I love this dress for New Year's! It's sexy without revealing too much, and it has just the right amount of sparkle!
Seriously, just the name alone make this piece a must buy! I'm loving this entire look! So simple and classic, but nothing less than ultra chic!
I love a classic pointed toe pump, but I also like to spice it up a bit every now and then. I'm obsessed with the details on this pump-the rustic, distressed finish and the subtle studs. It's so funky and unique! Definitely a must have-and, the wooden heel means you can totally rock these in the summer with a fabulous dress or skinny jeans!
As you may know, I have a slight obsession with Rebecca Minkoff handbags and I recently purchased the full size Love Crossbody during my trip to New York. I just love the mini and think it's perfect for a night out! And the black hardware is super chic!

Now hurry and get your Cyber Monday Shopping on!

Style 101: Get The Look-Solange

It seems like everyone (myself included) is going crazy over Solange’s amazing New Orleans wedding. While many are buzzing about the actual event, I’m obsessing over her-wait for it-6 outfit changes! I mean, that has to beat any other celebrity wedding wardrobe change record. Although I loved each and every one of her wedding dresses, I am absolutely in love with her Stéphane Rolland caped jumpsuit. It was so unique, classy, and sexy. As I’m sure everyone else is doing right now, I took some time to find some affordable white jumpsuits.

Style 101: Trending Now-Jewel Tones

Who says the winter season means you have to wear typical cold weather colors like black, grey, and brown? Not to say that neutrals aren’t trending right now (thanks to Kim K. and the entire Kardashian-Jenner clan), but who doesn’t love a little color in their life? I know I do-and to be quite honest, I probably only own three black pieces-a dress, a pair of jeans, and a blazer. Now that we’ve gotten neutrals out of the way, it’s time for the fun stuff now! I am just as obsessed with jewel tones this year as I was last year, and the year before, etc. There’s just something about those gorgeous emeralds, rubies (which is my birthstone-so obviously my fav), and sapphires. They look beautiful on everyone and no matter the price point of the piece, jewel tones make everything look super rich and luxurious. You can’t go wrong with jewel tones this holiday season. Below are a few of my favorite jewel tone pieces! Click the links below for product details.

Style 101: My Skin Care Routine

I have searched high and low for the perfect combination of skin care products to cure the problem areas on my face. Even though I have never dealt with severe acne, I've always had breakouts and redness on my forehead and cheeks. Since my face is about two shades lighter than the rest of my body, I wear makeup about 75% of the time, and I'm sure that hasn't helped my case. Before my current skin care routine, I tried several different brands and products-some were super expensive and others were moderately priced, but nothing worked. I still continued to struggle with my combination skin-that is until I discovered these amazing and affordable products! Now, what works for me may not work for you...it's kind of a trial and error. But I do believe these products belong to great brands that offer other products that may work perfectly for you! Click the links below for details.

These are the best makeup remover towelettes I have ever used. I was a faithful Neutrogena user, but when a friend recommended these towelettes by Burt's Bees, I never looked back! They smell wonderful and leave your face clean and fresh without feeling oily.
This cleanser has improved my skin in more ways than one. It reduced my breakouts and redness, evened my skin texture, and just completely improved the overall look and feel of my skin. It's super lightweight and a little goes a long way! I've had this full size bottle since mid August and I use it every morning and night, and I haven't even used half of it. I bought the travel size cleanser to test it out and I refill that bottle when I travel!
I was never a fan of toners because of the strong smell and the way it left my skin burning. I randomly grabbed this at target because I was on a crazy "let me just buy anything that looks cool" shopping spree that day. And let me tell ya, I'm so glad I discovered this product! It smells so fresh and natural (which it is), and it has diminished my stubborn blemishes.
If you have combination skin, you understand how difficult it is to find a moisturizer that takes care of the dry spots, but doesn't appear oily. My skin is very oily on my nose and forehead, but it's very dry around my mouth and eyes. This is the best moisturizer I have tried. It looks amazing under makeup and I never have to moisturize throughout the day or pat my face where oil usually settles. It lasts forever and a little goes a long way with this product.
My under eye area has been the toughest to find a good product for. My allergies affect my under eye area the worst and I have difficulty keeping that area hydrated. This cream is thick and very moisturizing. I apply this every night and I am very happy with the results. The area under my eyes is softer and the skin is more plump and smoother. This cream by Mario Badescu beats any expensive hydrating treatment I've done with a dermatologist and any other cream I've tried (and trust me, I've tried tons).
